Exemption for police

The Government is under fire for its plan to allow police, Fire Service and Defence Force bars to continue to be exempt from liquor licensing laws, while opposition leader Phil Goff says the same rules should apply for all NZers. Why should these organisations be exempt from liquor licensing laws?

Exemption for police a fair deal, says Govt - National - NZ Herald News

  1. I reckon!! So many young guys in the Defense Force and all they are teaching them is alcohol is a good way to loosen up or deal with combat stress. How totally IRRESPONIBLE of the services. We are meant to be able to TRUST these people!! The police backed the law change 100%, so I don't see why they are not backing it all the way with their own staff.
